Caring and qualified Faculty with professional experience and education
Lynne Thompson – Director received her training from the Cornish School of Fine Arts, University of Washington and British Academy of Dance. Teaching certificate from the Novikoff School of Russian Ballet. Lynne has taught 35 years and is currently a faculty member at Brigham Young University.
Sarah Thompson – Danced with Pasadena Ballet, LA Ballet Conservatory. Recipient of the Willam Christensen award to the University of Utah. Her excellence in technique sets a performance standard for students.
Kim Swihart – Soloist with Ballet Theatre of Boston for 4 years, taught at Boston Ballet. Currently majoring in Ballet Performance at BYU.
Nathan Cottam – Soloist with Ballet Theatre of Boston for 2 years, taught at Boston Ballet. Currently majoring in Ballet Performance at BYU.
Phyllis Whitaker – Danced professionally with San Francisco Ballet. Trained with American Ballet Theatre, San Francisco Ballet and Alvin Ailey.
Carrie Wright – has performed professionally for 4 years touring all over the world. Her ballet expertise provides a challenging advanced technique class.
Lindsey Folkman – Graduate from BYU in Dance Education. Performed with BYU Folk Dancers. Jazz Company Director.
Ann Royall – Performed with Houston Ballet, BYU Theatre Ballet. Experienced in teaching and performing.
Jenny Bawden – Graduate in Ballet Performance at BYU. Has guest performed leading roles in Scotland, Arizona, Alaska, Utah and Idaho. Received a Masters Degree in Choreography at University of Utah.
Margaret Krizin – Performed leading roles in Snow Queen and Sleeping Beauty. Attending UVSC. Great with children.
Alicia McCleve – Ballet Utah soloist for four years. Extensive teaching experience with children.
Renee Sorensen – Jazz specialist and teacher. Scholarship with National Jazz Competitions.
Leah Baker – soloist with Ballet Utah for three years. Ballet scholarship student at UVSC. Teaches ballet technique with an eye for detail.
Jessica Adamson – soloist with Ballet Utah for four years. Students love her classes.
Ashleigh Miller – currently majoring in dance education at UVSC, Ashleigh has trained for 14 years in ballet and jazz. A current member of Ballet Utah, she performed the leading role in “Cinderella.”
Chelsea Johnson – loves kids and jazz. She performed with Ballet Utah and Athena Dance Company with pizzazz and style. Her love for kids and dance make her a winning teacher.
